our FAQs, or reach out to us directly with whatever questions YOU might have!

Q: What does it cost for you to come to our home?

A: Our house call fee is $100. That covers the cost of us arriving at your home. Exam fees and associated treatment fees are additional.

Once our doctor has completed their exam, we will present you with a treatment plan that outlines the costs of care that are tailored to your individual pet’s needs. All payment is due at the time of service.  We are pleased to be able to offer  Care Credit , Scratchpay and AllPet to provide convenient financing options for your pet’s care.

Q: Can I give my pet the same medications that I take?

A: Dogs and cats are not just small humans – while there are some human medications used for animals that are safe, many are not and some can be fatal if given.  Please do not give your pet any medication at home, unless specifically directed or prescribed by a veterinarian.

Q: Why is an annual exam and wellness visit important?

A: Even if you don’t feel like your pet has any problems or issues, seeing a veterinarian at least once a year is very important, as our doctors do a thorough physical exam on your pet and may be able to identify issues and treat them before your pet becomes ill.

A physical exam with a veterinarian can identify health issues that may not be apparent to owners. It also allows us to continue to prescribe your pet monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, which are extremely important to continue year-round in our area. It is always better to prevent disease than to wait until your pet becomes ill!

Q: What vaccinations does my pet need?

A: The law requires that all dogs and cats be vaccinated for Rabies - however, there are also several other vaccines that are very important to keep your pet as healthy as possible. Puppies and kittens need to have multiple booster vaccines to ensure full immunity. Our veterinarians will give the most appropriate vaccines and schedule based on your individual pet’s needs.
